In 2011, I went to India for the first time. I have since returned every year to photograph the native Marwari horses at the annual Pushkar Camel and Horse Fair. Horsemen from all over India travel great distances to trade and display their prized horses over a short 4-5 day period in celebration of the Kartik full moon.
The folders within Breaking Dust contain my artistic interpretation of the Marwari’s of Pushkar, from abstract equine images to themed details, as well as a photojournalistic view of the resident horsemen.
